The PS 30 is a universal position control unit for installation in a PC.
It consists of a PCI plug-in card and an output stage module without PCI connector, mounted on a second slot panel (short PCI format 106 x 168 mm). Both cards are flexibly connected by a flat ribbon cable.
The PS 30 is a high-performance device and can operate up to 3 axes with 2-phase stepmotors or brushed DC servo motors. Mixed operation of both motor types is possible.
For high-precision positioning tasks there is a further input for
incremental encoder or a position measuring system available for each axis.
Micro-step mode with step motors guarantees smooth running and
fine resolution. These motors can be operated up to 256 micro steps per full step using the software.
The PS 30 is operated and programmed by a PC. Several inputs and
outputs are integrated to communicate with different peripherals, e.g. TTL, analog as well as two power outputs for motor holding brakes.
The PS 30 provides point-to-point positioning in trapeze or S-curve
velocity-time-profiles.
Part of the delivery is a 3-fold motor adapter cable. The operating instructions as well as our software package including our software tool OWISoft 3.0, the driver and SDK for C, C++, C#, LabView (V8.2 and higher) and additional programming languages (32/64 bit) may be downloaded from our customer portal myOWIS. Thus, the PS 30 can be configured and operated comfortably.
Supported operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista (32/64 bit), Windows 7 (32/64 bit), Windows 8 (32/64 bit), Windows 8.1 (32/64 bit) and Windows 10 (32/64-Bit).
Foreign motors may be operated as well.
